The struggle is real...

There are a world of things I want to write about and I have a stack of recipes I want to share with you all, but none of them seem right for the first post! There just seems to be so much pressure! I have created a number of other posts, while this first one still just sits empty. I guess it is like removing a band-aid, I just need to close my eyes and rip it off! So here goes...

While trying to come up with the thoughts and ideas I wanted to use to launch my blog I came across these words:

Lord knows that is what I want. Every year before we start the school year My Dreamboat and I sit down and discuss what we want our focus to be for the year and we keep coming back to this: love and serve God and others. I long for our words and actions to make people feel valued, loved, cherished, inspired and encouraged and that is my hope for this blog. I hope that you feel at home here!!! The best way I know how to start that off is by sharing some pictures of my daily life (the best of which were taken by My Dreamboat). I hope they help you to know me better!
